Position Summary
The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is currently seeking two dynamic and motivated IT Interns to support our technology operations in Douala, Cameroon. This internship offers practical, hands-on experience in the field of information technology and the chance to work with a team of skilled IT professionals. We’re looking for individuals eager to learn, contribute, and grow in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support in resolving hardware and software issues
- Assist the help desk in managing and resolving technical support requests
- Help maintain IT systems, equipment, and network infrastructure
- Contribute to the implementation of IT-related projects
- Document technical procedures and workflows
- Support basic system administration functions
- Assist with backup and data recovery tasks
- Help with installing and updating software applications
- Work collaboratively with team members on various tech initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Strong academic background and commitment to learning
Desired Skills and Attributes
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking
- Familiarity with programming fundamentals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detail-focused
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Proficiency in English; French is an advantage
