The Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Comptable to join our team in Yaoundé, Cameroon. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports, managing cash flow, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior management and other stakeholders to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement. Your expertise in accounting principles, financial regulations, and budgeting practices will be essential in supporting the organization's mission and goals.
As a Comptable, you will also be responsible for supervising and mentoring junior staff members, providing training and guidance on financial procedures, and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage cash flow, including forecasting, budgeting, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members on financial procedures and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a non-profit organization
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and budgeting practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Fluency in English and French languages
