EGPAF is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to lead and advise strategic execution of EGPAF's Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) portfolio. The Director will increase and improve the Foundation's technical team's ability to apply the HSS framework, system designs, and system solutions to enable sustainable impact and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and technical leadership to enhance and grow EGPAF's HSS objectives and priorities.
- Lead the establishment of standards for the design, organization, and functional health programming and operation of health systems based on primary health care, universal health access, and integrated person-centered care.
- Design and implement EGPAF's strategic framework and roadmap for supporting HSS across EGPAF's supported countries and across Medical and Scientific Affairs (MSA).
- Represent EGPAF at national and international forums and share best practices related to strengthening health systems.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Health Financing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the international development sector across the African continent with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Strong technical background in health systems strengthening as well as solid experience in the delivery of technical assistance.
- Proven leadership in developing strategies, conceptualizing, planning, and implementing projects or programs.
