We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver to provide timely and secure transportation services for company personnel and/or goods. The ideal candidate will ensure the proper maintenance of assigned vehicles and adhere to all operational and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Maintenance and Operation
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, both externally and internally.
- Ensure all seatbelts are in good condition and used by passengers.
- Refuel the vehicle promptly when the fuel level reaches half a tank.
- Verify that the correct type and quality of fuel and oil are used.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections using a checklist.
- Monitor tire pressure, including the spare tire.
- Perform minor repairs and checks (e.g., windshield wipers, headlights, brake lights, signal lights, and interior lights) to ensure full functionality.
- Maintain an accurate vehicle logbook detailing all trips, services, and repairs performed.
Fuel and Service Documentation
- Record fuel usage and related data (vehicle number, fuel quantity, oil level) in the fuel logbook.
- Assist in completing accident reports and support the Road Transport Coordinator in the event of an incident.
Key Handover and Documentation
- Log key collection times and ensure keys are returned to the designated supervisor or radio room at the end of each shift.
Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Responsibilities
- Actively participate in HSSE initiatives such as site visits, reporting procedures, and awareness sessions (e.g., APIPP, incident reporting, HSSE meetings and trainings).
- Contribute to maintaining and enhancing the company’s safety culture and overall HSSE performance.
Additional Responsibilities
- Take part in toolbox meetings and driver safety briefings.
- Understand emergency protocols related to vehicle accidents and be able to follow proper procedures.
- Serve as a safety role model by promoting HSSE standards within the team and department.
- Be fully proficient in the use of emergency equipment, including the proper allocation and use of first aid kits, fire extinguishers, warning triangles, and other safety items.
Note
The selected candidate may be required to perform additional tasks as needed.
Key Challenges
- Must have thorough knowledge of the city layout and key locations where the company conducts business — including client offices, banks, government agencies, workshops, restaurants, and other important destinations. Knowledge of the residential areas of company executives is also important.
- Must be well-versed in Oil & Gas industry transportation safety standards.
- Must consistently operate vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
- Should possess skills and knowledge necessary for managing post-accident situations effectively.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated passion for road safety and professional driving.
- Minimum of 5 years of driving experience, including at least 2 years in a corporate environment.
- Training in defensive driving is a strong advantage.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs.
- Certification in first aid is required.
- CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training is an asset.
- Strong team spirit and ability to work collaboratively.
