About Street Child
At Street Child, we believe that every child has the right to education and the opportunity to learn. Our work combines education, child protection, and livelihood support to address the social, economic, and structural barriers that fuel today's global education crisis.
We collaborate with local organisations and communities to design and deliver context-specific programmes, guided by evidence and continuous learning. This approach enables us to scale impact efficiently—reaching the greatest number of children at the lowest possible cost.
Since our founding in 2008, Street Child has supported more than 1.6 million children to access education and learning opportunities, while helping over 222,000 parents and caregivers to start businesses and generate sustainable income to support their children's schooling.
We are committed to working in some of the world's most challenging contexts—remote, hard-to-reach areas, fragile states, and disaster-affected communities across sub-Saharan Africa, South America, the Middle East, and South Asia.
Role Purpose
Cameroon has been identified as the world's most underfunded and neglected crisis (NRC, The World's Most Neglected Displacement Crises 2024). This already dire situation continues to deteriorate, leaving millions without access to essential services. In this context, Street Child remains committed to its mission—working in hard-to-reach, resource-constrained environments to deliver life-changing education and child protection interventions for the 3.3 million people in need across the country.
